We have progressively expanded our field staff and volunteers in the Central, Eastern, Northern, North Western, North Central, and Uva Provinces. We make regular visits to Negombo, Wattala, Hendala, Kalutara, Wadduwa, Panadura and Moratuwa. Our organization has just one double cab and one motorcycle for our travel!
Our rehabilitation visits to patients in these areas, further build confidence in the neighborhoods by mitigating the myth of the disease being contagious.
Cost of sponsorship is Rs.3000 each per month and for a child it is Rs.2500 – although it is our fervent desire to increase this amount. Consequently, these beneficiaries were encouraged to open savings accounts at their nearest bank to receive their monthly allowance. This has a two-fold benefit – receipt of funds and more significantly, beneficiaries have a chance to integrate with society as well.
