At SUROL, we work across Sri Lanka to restore dignity, hope, and independence to persons affected by leprosy. Our support is practical, compassionate, and grounded in community presence.
To provide stability and independence, SUROL offers monthly sponsorships to the beneficiaries. They are encouraged to open bank accounts to receive these funds, promoting financial security and integration into mainstream society.
Our field staff and volunteers travel across multiple provinces, often with just one motorcycle of the organisation, to personally visit beneficiaries. These visits show communities that persons affected by leprosy are not contagious, encouraging neighbours to welcome them back into society with compassion rather than fear.
